There is an interesting story about Indian super hero movie Krrish in BoingBoing. From the story,
“Throughout the film, in fact, the other characters consistently cite his “talents” but rarely his “powers” as if he were destined to become an extremely gifted knowledge worker (and indeed, it turns out that the ethics of knowledge work for hire are at the center of this epic saga.) ”
Hahaha, Read rest of the story here. I didn’t get chance to watch Krrish yet but I did see Superman Returns and based on the length and storyline of the movie, to me it was a bollywood flick

Interesting article about fast growing India Economy in Time Magazine's current issue. Here is CNN's spin on it.

This story in Time about Ratan Tata and Tata Conglomerate makes you salute the company and Tatas.
"Tata Sons, the holding company that manages the group, is 65.8% owned by 11 charitable trusts, which spent $379.2 million on social causes in 2003-04 alone."

While I was in India this December I knew that many NRIs (Non Resident Indians) were also there to get their medical operations done for cheap compared to western countries like U.K. or USA. This fascinating article in the March, 2005 issue of Bloomberg Markets Magazine talks about India’s new frontier in outsourcing. Agreed that India should address its domestic needs for better healthcare first but,
‘’Charging foreigners more than Indians is one way hospitals can make money to treat the poor….'’

India these days always in news for white collar jobs from US and European countries outsourced to India. But today India outsourced its premier position - Prime Minister to Italy. Congress win and forming the government may be acceptable (though surprising!!) but for country with more then 1 billion population you certainly don’t need an Italy born Prime minister. Being an Indian this news doesn’t make me feel good. Very unfortunate!!

recently was visiting MSN India and saw this advertisement about kite flying festival in gujarat (dont I miss these festivals
), which routed me to government of gujarat website. I assumed it to be naively managed by someone like me, but was pleasently surprised looking at the professional work. Also check out Gujarat Tourism website. The thing impressed me most was look and feel consistency between all of these three websites. way to go INDIA!!!
